Green Tea with Lemon

I love green tea, and I drink it for its health benefits. These being high levels of antioxidants, possible protection from some cancers, and its positive effects on my skin. The latest discovery is that the addition of lemon actually helps the absorption of the potent catechins into the body.

On the downside, it does make the drink taste a little odd. But if you are like me and simply trying to incorporate a few cups into your daily life, let it cool, then drink it a little more quickly. I usually make a pot of it (3 mugs worth), and savour the first cup, and chug down the last two when they are cool.

Green tea is definitely something I wouldn't leave out of my daily healthy eating plan.
